The Idea
The idea is simple — A pillow that allows a woman to comfortably sleep or lay on her stomach after breast implants or surgery. The Ledge Pillow is also great for women who simply have large breasts or soreness from breast feeding.
The Pillow
The Ledge Pillow is a wonderfully soft wedge-type pillow made in the U.S.A. of hypoallergenic 100% pure polyurethane foam with a 1" layer of the highest quality memory foam. It has slightly molded recesses to accomodate the breasts and a gentle incline to create the patented "ledge effect". The Ledge Pillow should be positioned immediately below the breasts beneath the rib cage and torso. Always use a seperate pillow or cushion to support the head. The Ledge Pillow is strictly for comfort and should never be used during post surgical healing.
The Ledge pillow comes in two sizes (small and large ) and two colors (brown zebra and cream). The small size measures 12" x 12" and the large size measures 12" x 22.5". Both pillows have a gentle incline to 4.5". See below for help picking the right size for you. Both covers are super soft and washable. The brown zebra cover is 100% polyester and the cream cover is 80% cotton and 20% polyester.
So go ahead sleep on it, use it to watch T.V., take it to the beach or even to your next massage. It's a whole new concept in women's comfort!
The Foam
In creating the Ledge Pillow, we decided to use the best foam possible. Therefore, our pillows are made of soft totally hypoallergenic 100% pure polyurethane foam with a 1" layer of the highest quality memory foam available. Our foam contains absolutely no fillers whatsoever. The memory foam adds luxurious softness and works to distribute the weight to prevent "hot spots".
You know that your comfort is very important to us, but so is the planet. Therefore, in order to minimize our impact on the planet, we have required that all of our foam is RoHS compliant which means that no heavy metals (like Lead) are used in the production of the foam.
Which size?
Generally, and we mean generally, the small size is perfect for women of average height and average torso length. The large size is generally for taller women (5'6" and above) or women with longer torsos. For example, our model, Shirley, is only 5'4", but the large pillow is most comfortable to her because she has a longer torso.
We have found that some average height women prefer the large size and some taller women prefer the small size. At the end of the day, either size will work for any woman and it's really just a matter of preference.
